Inventories are decreasing. Gold up. Lower returns and higher dollar
The dollar is still lower than the GBP, JPY, CAD, AUD, and NZD, but prices are off the low extremes of the USD.
Movements are also reversed in stocks as they give back gains. The Nasdaq rose 192 points. It is now up 40 points. The S&P rose 58.09 points. It is up 13.6 points now. The Dow Jones was up 573 points. The index is currently up 213 points.
The upward correction in the dollar led to a decline in precious metals. The spot price of gold reached a high price of $ 1,902.35. It is now down $ 9.40 to $ 1,888.66.
US yields also gave up some of the earlier rise in yields. The 10 year is at 0.680%. It hit 0.702% at its highest.
