The main European indices ended the day little changed.


Italian FTSE MIB beats the trend with a gain of 1.2%

The main European indices end the week with rather modest gains / losses for Friday. Indices are also far from their intraday lows. The provisional closings show:

  • German DAX, up 0.1%. At the lowest, the index is down -1.8%
  • CAC France, up 0.1%. At the lowest, the index is down -1.72%
  • FTSE 100 in the UK, -0.3%. At the lowest, the index is down -2.11%
  • Spanish ibex, unchanged. At the lowest, the index is down -1.5%
  • FTSE MIB in Italy, + 1.2%. At the lowest, the index is down -1.56%
The main European indices closed very low lows

On the European debt market, the 10-year benchmark rates closed the session with mixed results. Yields in Germany, France and the United Kingdom fell slightly, with France increasing 2.1 basis points. Yields in Spain, Italy and Portugal are down, Portugal down -2.5 basis points

10-year returns from major countries were mixed

Over the week, the main indices closed sharply higher with the German DAX in the lead with a gain of 5.8%:

  • German DAX, 5.8%
  • CAC France, + 3.8%
  • FTSE 100 in the UK, + 3.3%
  • Spanish ibex, + 3.3%
  • FTSE MIB in Italy, + 2.6%
